• Material Selection: We chose rift-sawn White Oak for its straight grain and modern appeal, finished with a commercial-grade clear conversion varnish to protect against moisture.
• Hidden Pantry: To maintain clean lines, we designed a "hidden" walk-in pantry. The entrance looks exactly like tall cabinet doors, but opens into a fully equipped prep space.
• Integrated Appliances: The refrigerator and dishwasher were fully paneled to blend seamlessly with the surrounding cabinetry.
• Living Room Built-Ins: We carried the White Oak into the adjacent living room, creating a custom media wall that tied the open floor plan together.

The Outcome

The result is a breathtaking, highly functional space that feels completely integrated with the home's architecture. The 10-foot island has become the centerpiece of the home, providing both incredible prep space and deep drawer storage.
